Habit Development Program

Education is the process of waiting for flowers to bloom. In this process, the Habit Development Program is not a chemical fertilizer or a catalyst, but a soil with more rich nutrients. I believe that on this fertile soil, children can enlighten themselves to the greatest extent, bloom their own confidence, and find their own better life.

A plan of co-building habits between teachers & students

Due to the lack of a supportive educational environment, EWB students generally have habitual problems, such as being often late for class and not taking notes despite repeated reminders from teachers. More importantly, a frustrating growth experience makes children more likely to fall into learned helplessness.
In order to improve children’s learning habits and enhance their self-confidence, the Curriculum Academic Department, on the basis of fully investigating the academic conditions and habit principles of EWB children, teamed up with 7 EWB volunteer teachers and based on the habits proposed by the famous habit research expert James Clear Principle, a set of teachers and students’ habits co-building plan that is in line with children’s academic conditions has been launched, also known as the “Habit Development Program.”

Our Approach

“Knowing” + “Acting”

Habit Development is divided into two stages: “knowing” and “acting”. In the “Knowing” stage, the teacher will lead the children to explore the “four gems” behind habit formation, that is, the four principles of habit formation; At the “Acting” stage, the teacher will work with the children to determine the habits to be cultivated, set plans, and check in. During the process of checking in, the children can experience the self-efficacy that cultivating habits brings to them.

In the first phase,
a total of 7 teachers were invited
to take 5 EWB students
to experience the Habit Development course,
totaling 80 class hours.

Through the program Learning

80% of the students fully understood the principles behind habit formation and were able to actively stick to the habit for more than two months.

50% of students can transfer the habit principles and develop a second habit independently.

At present, a complete set of independently designed courses has been formed —— EWB original course image and PPT courseware.
